DJI which is a short form of Dà-Jiāng Innovations is founded in 2006 by Frank Wang an engineering student at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Its headquarter is in Shenzhen China.
He Enrolled at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Frank designed a helicopter flight control system as part of a project. Frank worked day and night building prototypes. Rapidly, he gains recognition selling his products around the world.
DJI products are redefining industries, and its products used in filmmaking, agriculture, conservation, search and rescue, and much more.

DJI, as whole controls 70% of the global consumer unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) market share through sales of its trademark Phantom drones, Frank share in the company is about 45%.

Frank said in an interview, In future DJI provide an open platform on which people can work together to serve different industries just like how the software engineers develop apps for iPhone.
